Aerin, a young bridge officer on the Hyperion crew, is ordered to assist with the scan of the suspicious cell. Guided by an artificial intelligence device, LOR, Aerin makes her way to the Hyperion’s scanning room. Aerin learns that the suspicious cell is indeed cancerous.
Aerin also learns that the cancer problem must be addressed quickly before the cell divides and the cancer spreads out of control. In the confusion of the white blood cell attack and the assault of its enzymes, Aerin and LOR must flee to an escape pod and abandon the Hyperion before it is destroyed. |
